Cervical Screening

If you are a woman aged 25 to 60 and have a cervix (the opening to your womb from your vagina), it is strongly recommended that you have cervical screening (also known as a smear test) when it's due. This is the best way to reduce your risk of developing cervical cancer.    The smear test is not a test for cancer, it's a test to help prevent cancer. ... Finding abnormal changes early means they can be monitored or treated so they do not get a chance to turn into cervical cancer.
