General Data Protection Regulation Policy
The EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR herein) will come into force on 25th May 2018, superseding the Data Protection Act (DPA) 1998. The GDPR applies to all EU member states and Lonsdale Medical Centre must be able to demonstrate compliance at all times. Understanding the requirements of the GDPR will ensure that personal data of both staff and patients is protected accordingly.
All personnel at Lonsdale Medical Centre have a responsibility to protect the information they process. This document has been produced to enable all staff to understand their individual and collective responsibilities in relation to the GDPR.
